To help you develop your software a test environment has been created which mirrors a small portion of the real service.

The URL for the test environment should be identical to the live, with the addition of the test. sub-domain on the front of the domain.

When you have completed testing and are ready to go live, make sure you use the URLs for the live environment shown below. You will also need to request credentials for the live environment.

Service Test Environment Live Environment Notes
User facing https://test.eservices.ros.gov.uk https://www.eservices.ros.gov.uk Web user interfaces for existing Register of Scotland products
Machine to machine https://test.api.ros.gov.uk https://api.ros.gov.uk Interactive APIs for services where you read or write data. Usually authenticated

The exact URLs for each API are described in the relevant API documentation.
