Test environments
To help you develop your software a test environment has been created which mirrors a small portion of the real service.
The URL for the test environment should be identical to the live, with the addition of the test.
sub-domain on the front of the domain.
When you have completed testing and are ready to go live, make sure you use the URLs for the live environment shown below. You will also need to request credentials for the live environment.
Service | Test Environment | Live Environment | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
User facing | https://test.eservices.ros.gov.uk | https://www.eservices.ros.gov.uk | Web user interfaces for existing Register of Scotland products |
Machine to machine | https://test.api.ros.gov.uk | https://api.ros.gov.uk | Interactive APIs for services where you read or write data. Usually authenticated |
The exact URLs for each API are described in the relevant API documentation.
Data in the test environment
- The test environment contains no real Register of Scotland data
- You should not submit any real user data to it
- We do not guarantee that the data you send to us will be protected or preserved
- We can and will clear the environments down without notice; resetting them to their original state
Example Title Numbers
For certain API's you will need to submit title numbers which the systems recognise as valid. For this purpose a number of test title numbers have been added to the environment:
ABN1
-ABN100
FFE1
-FFE100
MID1
-MID100
